I've been a San Francisco Bay Area artist for over twenty years combining a life-long love of pets and kids with a love of art. My portraits are oil on canvas and the style is loose and soft. I feel the subject's personality as I paint - perhaps I was a poodle in a former life.

The Process

I work from photos. If possible I take my own high resolution pictures. This way I get what I need to interpret the subject best.

    It's a simple five-step process:

1. send me your photos (or I will take high resolution pictures if you are in the Bay Area).
     
2. select a size, background and price (smaller subject, smaller size canvas)
      
3. I can then send you a rough sketch for approval of subject size and composition
     
4. you will then receive a photo of the painting for any small revisions or you can view the portrait in person
     
5. the finished canvas can be mailed or picked up (usually two-three weeks after start of
   portrait -- rush orders can be arranged)
