Shelley Bond
One-of-a-kind jewelry
I have an endless curiosity about people and the directions of life and the forces that drive us. I like complicated things with depth and texture. Quick and dirty doesn't do it for me—I want the long version. My work has lots of color and texture...more

Amanda Krauss Avian mixed-media “My vision is to capture the balance of color, shape and textures found in nature as it particularly relates to birds. My brushstrokes are inspired from the beauty I find in everyday objects such as leaves and rocks and from the everyday actions of the birds I observe. Often captivated by the birds in my own backyard and the occasional new sighting, my paintings reflect their exuberance and whimsical nature.” more

Tim Christensen
Large-scale acrylics, up to 5' wide, on canvas
My paintings are full of bold color, movement and light. The work is often large, always bright, hot and sexy, as is life. This art is impatient and energetic. The brush strokes do not require deep analysis, being emotive and tactile. Pieces are generally “wet”. more

Portraits of animals
and people - Oil on canvas
I've been a San Francisco Bay Area artist for over twenty years combining a life-long love of pets and kids with my deep passion for art. My portraits are oil on canvas and the style is loose and soft. I feel the subject's personality as I paint - perhaps I was a poodle in a former life. more

Prashant Palsokar Photography

Prashant Palsokar was born in India, and has lived in several countries and cities across 4 continents.

He is a technologist by profession, with a graduate degree in Computer Science. In his pursuit to develop the right side of his brain, photography has been a handy and formidable tool. His work is a marriage between technology and art.

Large vibrant cities, and pristine natural environments both inspire his art, since they are both awe inspiring in their own right. Wines, especially bold reds, from across the world, are one of his big passions. A lot of his photography draws on elements from these themes.

Ken Mahar Wildlife, travel photography

I spent my life in the pursuit of beautiful images. For 35 years I commercially painted many buildings in the Bay Area. My appreciation for color, structure, texture, lighting and beauty led me to photography.

I have multiple interests in the field of photography, landscape/seascape, portraiture, structural, macro, but wildlife is where my passion lies. I thoroughly enjoy (more)

Mark Woolbright Etchings I'm still a kid. When I go hiking or go to the seashore, I come home with broken seashells, bones, driftwood, feathers, odd stones, and seed pods. I take them home and I try to draw them.  Sometimes when drawing shells, I image new shapes. I began to wonder, "What would a shell with two or three spirals look like?" So I invent "new" seashells. Or I the points and ridges of a weathered seashell might remind me of desert rock formations. So I mentally "uncoil" the shell like a scroll to make a horizontal (more)

Joe Gurkoff Photography - - figures, florals and still lifes - contemporary & traditional mixed media My love affair with art began when I was a toddler. I remember watching my mother draw and the excitement I felt as she turned a couple circles and lines into a person’s face. Unfortunately, I couldn’t even make circles and lines.(more)

Margaret Chen Abstract Oil Painting & 3-dimensional art My paintings are recognized for their dramatic color palette and powerful handling of abstract forms. I believe my work radiates a focused energy that is frequently stirring and cheerful, sometimes dark and mysterious.

Beka Brayer 3-dimensional "found" artwork

My goal as a mixed media assemblage artist is to breathe new life into intriguing old and found objects. I find myself inspired by that form, movement and the natural aging effects caused by time and the elements.

My pieces often lean toward and blossom from the beauty found in imperfection. My work emerges from the rubble, often scued, off balance and in some cases damaged to the perfectionist's eye. But I recognize the potential and beauty in the lines, form, texture and color found in disgarded objects. Channeling through my art, I hope to speak to the imagination without a single word.

The with manipulation of glass, metal, plaster, clay and plastic, I create pieces that I hope will promote mental notation and stir a dorman emotion.

Barbara Levinson Nuno Felting and Mixed Media Painting Nuno felting is a new spin on an ancient art. it is produced by applying wool or other natural fibers to a finely woven cloth, also natural fibers like silk or cotton. the wool is then worked into the cloth by applying soap, hot water and alot of elbow grease. as the wool shrinks, it works it way into the cloth and creates a crinkled effect. the result is a fiber that is unique, durable, flexible, warm and light as air.

Sheryl Tappan Unique jewelry inspired by unusual places I believe how we adorn ourselves reflects how we feel about ourselves and about life. Adornment is a uniquely human urge. We have been making and wearing jewelry for at least 40,000 years. It all started in France, of course, where stylish cavemen and women strung wolf and bear claws into necklaces they probably believed would empower or protect them. (more)

Elena Vaisberg-Targulian Oil Painting In my paintings I try to catch a splash of a moment, whether it is real or imaginary, a passing and unpredictable feeling of its magic. A mix of what I feel, see or imagine, put in colors and forms, bring some spirit of unreality and intuitive happiness which I cherish in my work. Each painting is a journey. Even if I start painting with a clear idea, the process sometimes leads me in unpredictable directions. I follow these carefully, trying to feel a hint, until, at some point, it clicks and I immediately know that all has fallen into place. This is the most glorious moment, which invigorates my desire to paint and fires my passion. www.yessy.com/elenavaisberg
